Captain Renalt and the crew of the Enterprise-B embark on their first mission together. Their maiden voyage quickly becomes dangerous when they encounter , Draxon an old enemy from Renalt’s past. The crew manages to outwit Draxon and escape into a mysterious nebula, but their apparent sanctuary soon becomes an even greater threat. The nebula itself begins interfering with the Enterprise’s systems, leaving the ship in danger of destruction. With time running out, an idea from a member of the crew may provide their only chance to free the Enterprise and survive their very first voyage.
