in 1994 Dave Bazant wrote the script, edited, and did the sound design for an in-house training film for Helene Curtis, the American cosmetics and beauty parlor products firm. "The marketing team needed a video for their upcoming Claims Workshop. Project 9X came up with a Star Trek spoof starring everyone that worked on claim substantiation – from CMO to legal to Advertising. We all loved Star Trek and were excited to get to work on the script, production, and special effects. As usual, budget and timing were tight, so we turned the boardroom into the bridge with foamcore panels and seamless. It was a blast! The participants of the Claims workshop including agencies said it was hilarious. It was a great way to present some pretty dry information and it stuck."
