Silver Age Film; Series (Drama)

These are the fan films of the production group led by Matthew Blackburn. The first three form a loose trilogy with 'bottle episodes' from the fourth, although they use a similar setting. Since then they have most often been bottle episodes, sharing a loose cannon

A battle with the Romulans leaves a Commander stranded on a desolate planet where he may not be alone... This short takes place after Star Trek Nemesis and before J.J. Abrams Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (time travel being what it is). The best spot on the Star Trek timeline to place this film would be in the prequel comic to Star Trek (2009) titled "Countdown."

This is an original Star Trek fan film made for the fun of it with a literal zero budget, making use of spectacular locations at Vasquez Rocks and Mojave Desert. We wanted it to be grittier than previous Star Trek fan projects with a focus on how someone would actually survive on a completely inhospitable planet and to explore the dark side of Vulcan logic. Shot in 2010 with the Sony Digital 8 Camera and edited on Adobe Premiere Elements.

Survivors
Production poster

02 — 15min 00sec — 29 April 2017
After an attack leaves their ship destroyed, a Captain with a dark secret and his familiar Vulcan officer take their chances on the planet below as hostile aliens hunt them down. Action, humor, terror, new life. In The final Frontier, there is only survival.

This movie was shot with mostly a cast & crew of 3 people on a zero budget. Story is set in the era of Star Trek that I would most like to see new stories from: In the post - Deep Space Nine era. A sort-of sequel to Star Trek: Survivor

Survivors was a finalist in the 2018 Bjo Awards in the following categories: Best Special & Visual Effects, Best Sound Design, Editing & Mixing, Best Director, Best Dramatic Presentation, Short: http://treklanta.org/fanfilmawards2018.htm (05 Jun 2018)

Last Survivor
Production poster

03 — 01min 30sec — 30 December 2018
An away team must investigate a destroyed ship, a missing crew, and the mysterious Aliens at the center of it all in a place where time, space, and thought converge. The story picks up after the events of Survivors and continues to explore the themes of expectation vs reality.

Described as "The final movie in a very unlikely trilogy." Last Survivor was made with no budget, no crowdfunding, and a cast and crew that rarely exceeded 5 people. This was a very ambitious story realized with no money and a healthy degree of DIY ingenuity that includes a bunch of nods to trek history for fans to look for. The thing that makes fan productions so fun is the individual creative visions behind them. Note to fan filmmakers: Make it yours, make it so.

Last Survivor was a finalist for the following awards: Special & Visual Effects, Original Music, Dramatic Presentation and won the award for Sound Design, Editing & Mixing, Hairstyling & Makeup as reported by Fan Film Factor.: https://fanfilmfactor.com/2019/05/28/2019-bjo-award-winners-from-treklanta/ (28 May 2019)

Left Behind
Episode Title

04 — 15min 00sec — 04 August 2020
A doctor marooned on a desolate planet must rely on his less than stellar communication skills and team up with a hostile alien to escape the surface before the planet's indigenous life forms make a meal of them both. A Star Trek fan production with a dysfunctional relationship at its core, a sense of humor, and a sense of horror.

Left Behind was made with no budget, no crowdfunding, and a cast and crew that rarely exceeded 5 people. A healthy array of practical effects, puppets, miniatures, royalty free effects, and stunts accompany a story that seeks to entertain while giving a classic hopeful Star Trek message in what have lately been dark times.

Lost & Found
Episode Title

05 — 15min 00sec — 14 December 2021
An officer possessed by an alien entity must find a way to safely remove it while on the run from Section 31 Agents who plan to weaponize it before it drives him totally insane. The walls of reality come crashing down in this story of intrigue and danger as an officer is busted out of the federation funny farm by a young pilot who may be a double agent with the goal of removing a duel alien possession from the officer's mind before section 31 can get their hands on it.

Inspired in part by the Section 31 episodes of Deep Space Nine, this Star Trek Fan Production aims to give you a fun trip with many hidden (and not so hidden) surprises that may become obvious with repeat viewings. Shot on the trusty, beat up Cannon 7D and edited with Adobe Premiere Pro, our goal was to cram as many Star Trek references into this 15 minute movie as possible, give you hopefully one of the more unique Star Trek Fan Productions out there, and provide some pay-offs for longtime subscribers and followers of our corner of the Trek Universe.

Ultimate Survival
Episode Title

06 — 15min 00sec — 30 December 2022
A Sadistic Section 31 Agent plans to erase humanity by travelling to the distant past with a bio-weapon, and a rogue Starfleet crew must go against orders to stop him. At long last, the time travel adventure we've been planning for ages. Though our resources are small, the ambition has never been greater in a production that includes big ideas, dinosaurs, time travel paradoxes, action sequences, and as many references to Star Trek lore we can cram into 15 minutes.

Unfinished Business
Episode Title

07 — 15min 00sec — 14 November 2023
Starfleet officers track a fugitive Gorn deep into Klingon Territory as both sides attempt to resolve unfinished business when hunter becomes hunted. Unfinished Business is a short film designed to give you a lot of laughs and thrills on a nonexistent budget.
