This production occurs where Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country did in Star Trek continuity. Things have gone a bit differently than regular canon due to strange events in the heart of both the Klingon Empire and the Federation.

Our ReviewThis is actually more of a multi-cast audio book in that there is narration giving context to the script. There seem to be three voices used: James T. Kirk as played by William Shatner, Spock as played by Leonard Nimoy and Sheppard from Mass Effect. The AI generated voices of Shatner and Nimoy are suggestive of the originals but lack their timbre and delivery. Overall it is a good start but for it to be an audio drama it needs to drop the narration and add musical stings and sound effects to give atmosphere and context. As an audio book I would suggest a distinctively different voice for the narrator than the characters. - Kirok
